Data Integrity-Defined Wikipedia defines data integrity as “maintaining and assuring the accuracy and consistency of data over its entire life-cycle”(Ref 1).
The FDA introduced the acronym “ALCOA” (Ref 2) to provide attributes of integrity; the term “ALCOA ”(Ref 3) adds four additional attributes.
NOTE: the GAMP Data Integrity SIG uses ALCOA to guide its activities.
Data Quality-Defined GAMP does not define data quality.
One of the approaches good drilling software takes to prevent this, is to store the original measurements from the field along with contextual information or metadata.
