Like a Hermes for the modern age, Google Maps has been keeping travelers safe for years.
With these updates, you might sometimes notice that your browser looks different.
The browser saves your opened tabs and windows and reopens them automatically when it restarts.
Google Maps uses high resolution satellite imagery in its software for many urban areas around the world. Updates for some areas can take a long time and so while you may be able to find your home on Google Maps, it could be that the photo was taken years ago.
Some areas have intentionally delayed satellite images, such as US military facilities and government offices for security purposes.
