The user-created content of some user pages, public pages, and groups, has been criticized for promoting or dwelling upon controversial and often divisive topics (e.g., politics, religion, sex, etc).
There have been several issues, both on the website and off the website.
The residence cannot be within 1000 feet of a child care facility, church, school, public park, private park, recreation facility, playground, skating rink, neighborhood center, gymnasium, school bus stop, public library, or public or community swimming pool.
The registrant cannot be employed by or volunteer at any child care facility, school or church, or by or at any business entity located within 1000 feet of a child care facility, school or church.
This has created great displeasure for users who practice discretion with such information.
Facebook does not require the release of such information when individuals sign up for the site.
