So in this article I will try to summarize some of the advice I have given.
I will use the three most common interfaith situations I have been contacted about as examples, but the same principles would apply to other types of relationships.
Hi, My name is Melanie and I came across your website when I started having discussions with Missionaries and wanted to know more about Mormonism without it being "flowered up." I began last November if I'm not mistaken and have had a discussion every month or so because I hardly have time and at first I really wasn't interested.
(I did my research, and there's no way I can ever believe what Mormons believe.) Has anyone ever been in this situation before?
Could this realistically work out, or am I just wasting my time and feelings? You must be married in the Temple if your marriage is to be valid in the afterlife (he can still reject you, but you can't reject him), and you cannot enter the Temple at all since you aren't a member of the Church.
It is important to learn and understand these guidelines if you want to date a Mormon.
When dating someone who is Mormon, make sure to keep an open-mind and to be respectful of their beliefs.
I could post many more, but some contain too personal of information for public posting.
